Jennifer earned her Masters in Clinical Social Work at Boston University while also obtaining a Certificate in Behavioral Medicine from BU's Department of Medicine. Additionally, she earned another Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Buffalo. Her undergraduate degree is in the area of Education from SUNY Geneseo.
Jennifer has worked with teenagers in numerous settings and uses a variety of skills based interventions to assist during the adolescent years.
Jennifer works with children as young as 8. Play therapy is the primary modality in addition to learning coping mechanisms and understanding how their thoughts and feelings impact their behavior.
Jennifer works with all ages including adults. Her primary modality is utilizing both CBT & DBT interventions while learning how the patients past experiences impact the present.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy are the primary modalities utilized in this practice. This is a skills based program and often time limited based on the needs of the patient.
